Green Transportation Week

All week I’ve been on jury duty at the superior court downtown, about 3 miles from my apartment. To get there each morning I’ve ridden MARTA to and from court and didn’t start up the motorcycle until today to stop by the office to update some stuff. So most of each day has been spent in a windowless court room or jury deliberation room not knowing whether it was still light outside or dark.

Yesterday we tailgated at the GT vs UNC game. It’s the second most fun school versus the second oldest chartered school in the US. We tailgated from 8am to noon, watched the game, got soaked in the 4th quarter then went for food. It rained the rest of the evening.

Today the weather was great but the motorcycle desperately needed a wash. I decided to take the bicycle on a longer trek.

On the way up Ponce to get my hair cut I came across these classic Broncos used by the Shriners.

Then I stopped by a Moto Guzzi/Vespa shop I had never been in before.

After my haircut I stopped by Borders to peruse the travel narratives.

And stopped by a motorcycle repair shop. This 90cc Honda is for sale.

Had the lunch special at an Indian place in Five Points.

Then to Jen’s house for a visit.

Stopped by Oakland Cemetery on the way back. Wish I had my real camera for this.

And finally to Starbucks, then back to the apartment. About a 15 mile round trip.

Ha! How about the second most fun school versus the coolest, MOST fun, brilliant, beautiful and OLDEST SCHOOL THAT ACTUALLY CONDUCTED CLASSES in the United States.
