More Ideas
On the way back from Charleston today I was thinking about this HME stuff some more (see previous post). There's also the Google APIs so you could create a gmail account reader for the HME. meh. Maybe too boring. It's hard to come up with stuff when the HME SDK and the Tivo hardware are less dynamic than your average PC. You're pretty much stuck thinking of WebTV-esque stuff, ie "applications for dummies".
Another thing that occurred to me: gmail claims to be enlarging the amount of user space available constantly now. At the time of this writing, it's at 2.07Gb. That's handy for people with tons and tons of email. But none of that email is encrypted. Why doesn't somebody make an OTR for gmail? Google might get mad if they can't scan the email for keywords (for advertising) so this solution could pick keywords out (less the meaning) and put those in the unencrypted portion of the email.

"Meh?"
Molly Wood has made that phrase too popular...
I don't even know who that is.
