Shifting To The Darkside

I finally decided to let iTunes infect my pristine PC so that I could obtain episodes of Lost, season 1. You'd think with all the design work that goes into interfaces at Apple that they'd do a decent job with iTunes. But it sucks. I love reading the description of episodes on a single line that spans multiple screens. I don't mind dragging to extend the column width... and dragging... and dragging... and dragging. While I patiently waited for my download I decided to search for some more stuff rather than wade through the over-specified yet not all-encompassing genres. My very first search yields "We could not complete your Music Store request. An unknown error occurred (5002)...". I'm sure all mac users are used to this. At least I didn't have to reboot with a kernel panic. I'll update this post as I discover the *good things* about iTunes... but it might be awhile.

One of my faves:

Searching Audio Books through the iTunes music store - I click the sub-heading "History" on the left side. The top half of my window pops into a lateral tree-view, listing everything on the iTunes store. In order to get to the "History" sub-heading of Audio Books, I have to select "Audio Books" and then "History" again.

Go back up to move forward. So intuitive.
