Afternoon At The Lake And Weekend Geocaching

It's been a busy week for leisure. On Tuesday the company enjoyed an afternoon at Lake Strom Thurmond. We rented canoes (thanks to J. Spencer), took them out on the lake and a few people brought their boats. Those that didn't go out on the water enjoyed hot dogs, hamburgers, beer, and shade.

Two years ago Kishan chipped his tooth during a similar performance on the tube. This year, despite 35mph cross-wake aerobatics, he came out sore but otherwise unscathed.

Gary (the lightly toasted guy on the right), passes a petite lite beer to Scott.

Here we have landed on a remote stretch of lake shore to look for a cache. Unfortunately we didn't have enough information and did not find it.

We did most of today's geocaching around the pavillion at the canal locks.

This is the canal.

Verdant green canopy near the river.

Aside from caches, we also found an unusual number of very large bugs, including this one. I have no idea what it is. Like all pictures of mythical monsters (loch ness, yeti, etc), this one came out blurry.
