Long Way Down in the Theatre!

Batman's great and all but I just discovered that Long Way Down is playing in theatres. And its playing at Atlantic Station! About 10 seconds after I found this out I had tickets.



Like Long Way Round, Long Way Down is the story of a long distance motorcycle trek. This time Ewan and Charlie go from Scotland across Africa. I haven't read the book but the route looks interesting. Its too bad they're not going through Spain but Tunisia might make up for it. The first time around their choice between KTM and BMW was made for them as KTM wouldn't support the trip. I'm sure after their first success with the BMWs they could have had any brand sponsor they wanted but of course they chose the best motorcycle in the world, the BMW R1200GS Adv. Don't go if you expect to see a Honda VTX because there won't be any.



“There is something liberating about just having what you need, on your bike,” said McGregor. “A tent, a roll mat, a little bit of food, a bit of petrol in your tank and a vague idea of where you’re going and that’s all you need. There is something beautiful about that.”
