More Barcelona Pics

If you want to see more pictures from Barcelona, RunsOnSumatra has posted his, covering everything from leaving, to the airports, the city, and the return trip.

For those that asked about the GaudĂ stuff, here are some of the houses I was talking about.

This is La Pedrera (Casa Milá), an apartment building built in the early 20th century. There is a lot of architectural art on the roof and if you look closely, you can see people walking up there. According to the book Barcelona, it was designed to a be "a sea cliff with caves in it for people".

This is one of the houses at the main entrance to Parc Guell.

Also, since I don't have a picture of Agbar Tower at night, you can see it here

Barcelona

We had a great (and exhausting) time in Barcelona. Some of the things I got to do (so I can remember for a later post):

1. Met the objective: Ana.
2. Visited Montserrat (a super hike).
3. Saw Volver at the cinema.
4. Paella, paella, creme catalan, choricitos.
5. Saw Sagrada Familia.
6. Saw the glowing Agbar Tower.
7. Went to Terragona by train.
8. Guell and the Rambla.
9. Montjuic.

I posted the most interesting pics (but not all 300+). Here are some highlights:

Work continues on Sagrada Familia.

The Barcelona cityscape.

Let's just get this one out of the way because I know it will appear on other sites. Yes, I got hit in the particulars by a ninja.

Payback.

A statue of the tower-building hombres of Tarragona.

We sat on that tiny peak in the foreground.
